Jonathan Kelly > The Eurostar train waiting to depart for Paris. I took the train over from London, just to go through the Channel Tunnel (which has been called one of the modern wonders of the world).

Here's a blurb about the tunnel itself: "The tunnel consists of 3 interconnected tubes: 1 rail track each way plus 1 service tunnel. Its length is 31 miles, of which 23 miles are underwater. Its average depth is 150 feet under the seabed."

The train takes just 2 hours and 35 minutes to reach Paris Gare du Nord from London Waterloo.
Jonathan Kelly > The bar at the Peace and Love Hostel in Paris. Reasonable rates and good beer on tap!
Jonathan Kelly > Here's a view of the Eiffel Tower, taken as I was walking towards it from the metro station.
Jonathan Kelly > A shot looking up at the Eiffel Tower. The tower is 300 m high, and, when completed in 1889, was the tallest structure in the world (until 1930, when the Chrysler building in New York became the tallest).

Jonathan Kelly > Looking out from the second floor of the tower onto the Champ de Mars.

Jonathan Kelly > View of the Seine river from the top of the tower.
